οὐ μέν πως πάντες βασιλεύσομεν ἐνθάδ’ ᾿Αχαιοί·

οὐκ ἀγαθὸν πολυκοιρανίη· εἷς κοίρανος ἔστω,

εἷς βασιλεύς

 

Odysseus harangues one of of the people but speaks differently to other leaders.

Achilles was not known for his mild temper
