A scholiast records the following fun (but wildly ridiculous) etymology for “Helicon” and its association with the Muses:
“Helicon, according to Tzetzes, refers to books, into which the Muses are rolled (helissontai) and collected together as though they were dancing.”
Έλικὼν δὲ κατὰ Τζέτζην αἱ βίβλοι, εἰς ἅς έλισσονται καὶ συστρέφονται καὶ ὁιονεὶ χορεύουσιν αἱ Μοῦσαι.
The eminent John Tzetzes
must have had remarkable testes.
That he weighs all the same
myriad dubious claims
attests to a nice pair of hefties.
There once was a girl Theodora,
Who had what all guys wanted more of.
But she let them all down
When she picked up a crown,
And erased what she had been before, uh.

I am going to add this to the other post if that is ok!
This is great, by the way!
yes!
