“Concerning the way either of you lead your allies, it is not the fault of the followers if something unseemly is done, but of those who led them to crooked deeds.”

ἃ δὲ ἑκάτεροι ἐξηγεῖσθε τοῖς ξυμμάχοις, οὐχ οἱ ἑπόμενοι αἴτιοι εἴ τι μὴ καλῶς ἐδρᾶτο, ἀλλ᾽ οἱ ἄγοντες ἐπὶ τὰ μὴ ὀρθῶς ἔχοντα.
