“Chamaeleon says that Aeschylus composed his tragedies when he was drunk. Indeed, Sophocles criticized him, saying that whenever he used the right words, he did so unwittingly.”

μεθύων δὲ ἐποίει τὰς τραγῳδίας Αἰσχύλος, ὥς φησι
Χαμαιλέων. Σοφοκλῆς γοῦν ὠνείδιζεν
αὐτῷ ὅτι εἰ καὶ τὰ δέοντα ποιεῖ, ἀλλ’ οὐκ εἰδώς γε.
